SPERO CONSULTING

Operating support for founder-led software startups

Big vision. Let’s make it happen.

You’ve got a product to launch, a team to grow, or a business ready for its next chapter. You don’t have to carry every moving part yourself.

I work alongside you and your team to turn priorities into coordinated action—and build a practical way to keep things moving.

Let’s talk about what’s next ↗ Start with a complimentary operations review.
01 · The problem

More to build. More to coordinate.

As the business grows, so does the work around the work: setting priorities, connecting people, making decisions, and keeping everyone aligned.

You may be doing this for the first time. You may know exactly what needs to happen and simply need someone to help run it.

That’s where I come in.

02 · Who this is for

You’re ready for the next chapter.

Spero works with founder-led software startups with funding or revenue, a small team, and meaningful work that needs experienced operating support.

Maybe you’re:

Preparing a launch and want a clear path from idea to delivery.

Growing your team and establishing who owns what.

Ready to delegate coordination while staying close to important decisions.

Bringing more focus and structure to an important initiative.

You bring the direction. Together, we organize the people, priorities, and decisions around it.

03 · Founder Operations Snapshot

Let’s take a look at what’s next.

Bring your next big goal—and the moving parts around it.

In a complimentary Founder Operations Snapshot, I’ll review a short introduction to your business, then we’ll spend 30 minutes exploring your priorities, how your team works, and where operating support could help.

Afterward, you’ll receive a brief summary with practical next steps.

For founder-led software startups with funding or revenue and an existing team. Applications are reviewed for fit, and there’s no obligation to purchase further support.

04 · The engagement

A clearer path. Someone to help run it.

A 90-day operating partnership focused on your company’s top three priorities and one major initiative.

01

First, we get clear.

I work with you and the relevant team to understand the business, establish priorities, and identify the decisions, dependencies, and resources that matter.

02

Then, we put the plan into motion.

We agree on owners, target dates, and what completion looks like. We establish a shared view of progress and a weekly leadership meeting that produces decisions and next steps.

03

Together, we keep things moving.

I run the agreed operating process, coordinate dependencies, and help you work through operational decisions. As the business changes, we adapt the plan and strengthen the team’s ability to carry it forward.

05 · What you leave with

Clear priorities. Room to lead.

01

Three agreed priorities and a practical execution plan.

02

Clear owners, target dates, and completion criteria.

03

Visibility into progress, dependencies, and blockers.

04

A weekly leadership and decision process.

05

An operating rhythm your team can continue using.

We work toward less day-to-day coordination falling back on you, so you have more room to lead.

The proposal defines my responsibilities and involvement. Milestones reflect the initiative’s scope, technical feasibility, and available capacity.

06 · Experience

I’ve been inside the build. And the rebuild.

Realm

After repeated failed launches and a year of unsuccessful development effort, I rebuilt the development team, redesigned the platform, and created the project management plan.

We delivered the platform in under two months. It subsequently scaled to 200,000 users.

Actium

An earlier version stalled and repeatedly failed to reach production from March through July 2026. We discarded it and built a replacement with two developers during August and September.

It has now soft launched.

08 · About

An operator, in your corner.

Laura Wilson

I’m Laura Wilson, a startup operator and founder. I’ve held COO roles across esports and AI businesses, including more than five years running day-to-day operations at Realm.

At Good Ventures, I provide acting COO and project management support to early-stage AI startups, filling operating gaps as ventures work toward commercial traction and dedicated staffing. I’m also the founder of Actium.

Through Spero, I bring that experience to founders who want help putting their plans into practice.

Specialist support

The right people, when the work needs them.

Sometimes moving forward means bringing in additional expertise or capacity.

I can source and coordinate fractional developers, designers, and other specialists. Their scope, availability, and cost are agreed separately, with your approval before work begins.
